Things to do in OKC!
With our events now being hosted in Oklahoma City, we at Platinum Esports wanted to provide you with a fun list of things to do around the city and surrounding area. This list is a mix of our personal favorite things and places from the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department’s travel guides.
The Oklahoma National Memorial. This is the memorial built after the largest domestic terrorist attack in the US happened in Downtown OKC. The memorial is a powerful statement of how powerful the Oklahoma spirit is
The Oklahoma History Center. A fantastic museum in the capitol area of the city. the History Center walks through the history of the great state, providing fun hands on learning.
Braum's. This might seem like a generic fast food burger, but it's all farm fresh from the day before. All Braum's locations are close enough to their farm in Western OKC that they get farm fresh meats and dairy, and you can tell. Their ice cream is incredibly good, and you can't go wrong with a Braums burger.
The First Americans Museum. Built to show the heritage of all 39 tribes that live in Oklahoma, it's a great way to understand the cultures that make up over half the land of Oklahoma.
Scissortail Park. A massive 36 acre park in the heart of OKC with a lot of fun activities to do, including a small lake for kayaking and pedal boating.
Bricktown Brewery. A local chain of restaurants with their own brewery located in the Bricktown area of downtown OKC. A great place to get a Chicken Fried Steak, and some local beer! They also have incredible pizzas.
Riverwind Casino. One of the premier casinos in Oklahoma, only a short trip from the OU area. If you enjoy gambling, then Riverwind Casino will have something for you.
HeyDay. A great place to have some fun. Arcade, laser tag, bowling, and a bar. What more could you ask for?
The Garage. A chain of burger joints that make the proper Oklahoma staple: the Onion Smashburger. Made in Oklahoma, it’s a great blend of flavors!
Oklahoma City Zoo. The Oklahoma City Zoo is a living museum of 1900 animal species and expansive botanical gardens. A great way to spend your afternoon.
The Bricktown Canal. Located in the heart of Bricktown is a canal that has a large selection of food, drink, and entertainment options. A perfect way to spend an evening as the sun begins to set.
