General Rules

These rules apply to all events run by Platinum Esports, and should be followed at all times by players.

1) All players are expected to sign up on the respective sign up pages for the tourney they wish to participate in.

2) There is a check in window that starts 2 hours prior to the beginning of the tournament

a) All players are expected to check in if they plan to participate

b) Failure to check in means you will be removed from the bracket

c) When check in opens, a ping will be sent out to the corresponding role for that event, to let players know it's time to check in

3) Prize pools are paid out via Matcherino, this is to streamline payouts and keep records that everyone was paid

a) Players are expected to join the Matcherino within 2 weeks of the event to avoid payment delays. Failure to do so can result in forfeiture of possible winnings.

b) Prize pools will be paid out within one week after all players have joined the matcherino. If there is any delay, let a staff member know

4) Players are expected to be professional while in game and in the discord

a) You are allowed to trash talk, within reason

i) "Within reason" is up to administrator opinion

ii) Having fun and talking a big game is a part of esports, and it helps players become friends with each other

b) If you believe that what someone said was out of line, first let them know, and if the issue persists, contact a staff member via the ModMail bot

c) Players are expected to keep from talking hate speech or politics in public channels

5) All players are expected to play fairly

a) Any potential cheating will be investigated, and anyone caught cheating will lose any prize money and be permanently banned

b) If you are found to be smurfing (hiding your ranking to play), stream sniping, or any other form of cheating, any prize money will be forfeit and you will be permanently banned

6) The CSL Staff reserves the right to update these rules at any time without announcement

a) The CSL staff also reserve the right to make judgement calls in the moments that might not meet the written rules. If these decisions are made, they will be made in writing with reasoning

7) If you forfeit a match that is worth prize money, you forfeit any prizes you might have earned from the tournament

8) If you are late because you're playing in another event at the same time, it will be considered a forfeit, and all FF rules apply.

CSL Brood War Rules

These rules apply to our CSL Brood War events

1) The MMR Cap is 1800

a) You have to have an account under this MMR with at least 10 games on it in the last month

b) Purposefully leaving games to lower your MMR to play is a banable offense, See Universal rule 5

c) Offracing is allowed, as long as you have the required games

d) Random is allowed, as long as all races are below the MMR limit

2) All players will meet in OP CSL on US West at the designated start time of the tournament

3) Official Walk Over time is 15 minutes after staff announces the bracket is live

a) The WO time will be posted in chat as minutes past the hour, as ":xx".

b) At the specified WO time, you can update the Challonge bracket to 99-0, and mark yourself as the winner

c) Players are expected to reach out to their opponent via the tournament discord at least 5 minutes before the WO time

4) Games will be picked by the casters to be shown live as the game start

a) Games should be hosted in TvB, so that if players get similar colors, they can be toggled

b) Players should post the game name and password for the casters to see in the lobby chat

c) Casters should tell players ahead of time who they plan to cast, so the players are aware

5) Games will be played concurrently, except when told otherwise by a staff member

a) The exception to this is that 3rd place will happen before the finals

i) This allows the finalists to take a short break before playing

6) All series are Best of 3, with the Semis, Finals, and 3rd place being Best of 5

7) The official map pick format for CSL is ABAB ABC / AB ABABC, with the higher seed being A

a) Players are allowed to use different pick formats, as long as both players agree

8) If a player has to leave for whatever reason, they are expected to let staff know as soon as possible

a) They should also let their last opponent know, as they will move on instead of the person leaving

9) All replays should be uploaded to the cplbw link provided at the start of the event. Either Suri or Airn will provide the link for that month

10) If a player disconnects, the players will replay the map

a) The remake of the game must be played on the exact same settings as the original map

i) This includes TR, Map, Races, and any other variables

CSL StarCraft 2 Rules

These rules apply to our CSL StarCraft 2 events

1) The MMR Cap is 5300

a) You are required to provide a pulse link to an account with at least 10 games in the last 30 days

b) Use of a different ladder account than your main is allowed, but must be submitted

i) Account names are kept private, per player requests

c) Submitting one low account, or purposefully dropping your MMR to play is banable under Universal rule 5

2) All games are Bo3, until the Semifinals and on, which are Bo5

3) All players are expected to use channel CSL on the NA server to meet and find games

a) This is to make it easier for casters to find games to cast

b) Once you have found your opponent on NA, you are allowed to switch servers to play

i) If you switch servers, please post in the discord, so that casters can find games

c) On EU, the CSL channel is broken, please use CSLEU, as that seems to work

i) If you find any issues with this channel, please let staff know

4) For cross server play, the higher seed gets first server, and then it alternates from there.

5) Games will be played concurrently, with the exception of the finals and 3rd place

6) The official map pick format is ABABAB ABC / ABAB ABABC

a) Players are allowed to use another format, if they so choose

7) All games should be hosted with GameHeart or Oberserver PlusPlus

a) If you are unsure on how to do this, ask the staff and instructions can be provided

8) All players are expected to return replays to the SC2 replay folder for replay packs

9) If a player has to leave for whatever reason, they are expected to let staff know as soon as possible

a) They should also let their last opponent know, as they will move on instead of the person leaving

10) Official Walk Over time is 15 minutes after staff announces the bracket is live

a) The WO time will be posted in chat as minutes past the hour, as ":xx".

b) At the specified WO time, you can update the Challonge bracket to 99-0, and mark yourself as the winner

c) Players are expected to reach out to their opponent via the tournament discord at least 5 minutes before the WO time

11) If a player disconnects, players can choose between replaying the game from the start or resuming from replay

a) Staff recommendation is to restart any match less than 5 minutes where no fights have taken place yet

b) It is up to the players of the game how they wish to proceed

i) Players are expected to not check the replay if a restart from replay is going to happen, this is a banable offense

12) Games should be hosted with no match history

CSL Tekken 8 Rules

These rules apply to our CSL Tekken 8 events

1) All players must use official skins for each character

2) All brackets will be Double Elimination

3) All matches are Best of 3 (First to 2), with the Seminfinals and on being Best of 5 (First to 3)

4) Players should always use a random stage

5) Players are allowed to switch characters at any time

6) Tournaments are cross play across all supported and updated platforms

7) Players can use any controller they want

a) All controllers must not be modded beyond the basic functions of the game

b) Use of a modded controller or other input devices that go beyond the basic function of the game will result in a forfeit for this CSL, and bans from future events

c) If you suspect your opponent to have used a modified input device, please send a message to the ModMail with a clip of the input reader and we will investigate

8) Walkover time is 15 minutes after the start of the event.

a) Failure to show up at the time will result in a FF

b) You must try reaching your opponent on discord before taking a FF

9) Finals are a Bo5 with a runback Bo3 if the LB player wins.

10) If there is an issue with lag, both players must prove their connection to other players in the event. If one player is found to have a connection that makes in unplayable, they will be removed.

11) Tournament is locked to North America and nearby, with the exception for any player that has full connection bars

12) All players will meet in whichever lounge is announced by the staff at the start of the tournament. This makes it easier for everyone to find their opponent, and staff to find games to cast.

IPSL Rules

These rules apply to our IPSL events

1) All Online events are to meet in Op IPSL on USW.

2) Official Walk Over time is 15 minutes after staff announces the bracket is live

a) The WO time will be posted in chat as minutes past the hour, as ":xx".

b) At the specified WO time, you can update the Challonge bracket to 99-0, and mark yourself as the winner

c) Players are expected to reach out to their opponent via the tournament discord at least 5 minutes before the WO time

d) Any players that are walked over forefit any prize money and IPSL points they might have earned in that event.

3) Games will be picked by the casters to be shown live as the game start

a) Games should be hosted in TvB, so that if players get similar colors, they can be toggled

b) Players should post the game name and password for the casters to see in the lobby chat

c) Casters should tell players ahead of time who they plan to cast, so the players are aware

4) Games will be played concurrently, except when told otherwise by a staff member

5) IPSL Monthly tournaments are Bo1 until the Semis, which are Bo3. 3rd place is also a Bo3, with the finals being a Bo5

6) The official map pick format for IPSL is ABAB ABC / AB ABABC, with the lower seed (higher number) being A

a) Players are allowed to use different pick formats, as long as both players agree

b) "ABAB" refers to the order that players veto/pick maps. Player A is the higher seed, Player B is the lower seed.

7) If a player has to leave for whatever reason, they are expected to let staff know as soon as possible

a) They should also let their last opponent know, as they will move on instead of the person leaving

8) All replays should be Uploaded to the provided CPLBW link. This will be posted at the beginning of the tournament.

9) If a player disconnects, the players will replay the map if the game timer is less than 5 minutes.

a) The remake of the game must be played on the exact same settings as the original map

i) This includes TR, Map, Races, and any other variables

b) If the game has gone longer than 5 minutes, the replay will be submitted for staff review. The staff will either award the map victory to a player, or decide that it should be replayed.

10) All rules and rulings are subject to any admins at the time.

11) We reserve the right to rebroadcast player streams for tournament purposes

Platinum SC2 Tour Rules

These rules apply to our PSC2T events

1) All games are Bo3, until the Semifinals and on, which are Bo5

2) All players are expected to use channel PSCL on the NA server to meet and find games

a) This is to make it easier for casters to find games to cast

b) Once you have found your opponent on NA, you are allowed to switch servers to play

i) If you switch servers, please post in the discord, so that casters can find games

3) For cross server play, the higher seed gets first server, and then it alternates from there.

4) Games will be played concurrently

5) The official map pick format is ABABAB ABC / ABAB ABABC

a) Players are allowed to use another format, if they so choose

6) All games should be hosted with GameHeart or Oberserver PlusPlus

a) If you are unsure on how to do this, ask the staff and instructions can be provided

7) All players are expected to return replays to the SC2 replay folder for replay packs

8) If a player has to leave for whatever reason, they are expected to let staff know as soon as possible

b) If a player forefits a money match, they forefit any potential earnings.

a) The WO time will be posted in chat as minutes past the hour, as ":xx".

b) At the specified WO time, you can update the Challonge bracket to 99-0, and mark yourself as the winner

c) Players are expected to reach out to their opponent via the tournament discord at least 5 minutes before the WO time

10) If a player disconnects, players can choose between replaying the game from the start or resuming from replay

13) All players must be in the discord for communications and coordination, if possible

14) Casters consent to their VODs being used for promotional content on YT and other social media, within reason.

15) All players are expected to behave and be respectful to others during the event and in tournament related chats, ie bnet or discord

16) All rules are subject to change without notice and based on admin opinion
